Easter Fun!
The Nurture Nest children were excited to visit the town library this week. They listened to a beautiful story about the seasons, examined the scarecrow and took part in 'rhyme time games'. Thank you to the wonderful staff, who made us feel so welcome.
Outside the Nurture Nest we loved our Easter Egg Hunt and we were able to solve clues to find lots of eggs.
Sadly this was the last session with our brilliant Ks2 social group, for Art. They were fantastic pupils who made a display to tell the story of 'The Colour Monster'. The story is an examination of emotions and feelings. The poor monster arrives at the beginning of the book feeling every emotion and completely confused by it all. The monster's friend, helps him identify and separate each emotion. This story enabled the children to understand how the little furry Monster felt as the emotions are attached to deep descriptions. The pupils drew the monsters, talked about emotions while building skills to show empathy and understanding towards others.
During our last session with the amazing Ks1 Cookery social group we made Easter Nests. The pupils enjoyed melting the chocolate and making a chocolate nest with the help of some shredded wheat. They enjoyed adding small eggs into the nest and tasting the chocolate as they worked.
