Today the children in Miss Mc Cullagh's Primary 5 class went on a class trip to Ranfurly House to participate in a workshop. This workshop was about discovering the past. The children were introduced to archaeological concepts and skills by professional archaeologists-Brian, Rory and Jimmy. They learned about archaeology and took part in archaeological exercises which included investigating artefacts from the past. The children explored the Hill of The O'Neill and the archaeologists showed them the site where two castles had been excavated, one of the castles belonged to Hugh O'Neill. The children thoroughly enjoyed their trip.
