Grammar skills in SPSC1
SPSC1 have been working hard to improve our Grammar skills since the start of the year.
We have been identifying nouns, verbs and most recently adjectives in what we read.
Nouns are naming words like cat, window, lollipop and proper nouns need a capital letter; words like Dungannon, March or Mr McCreesh.
Verbs are action words like sing, think, eat or whisper.
Adjectives are words that describe a noun, like colour, taste, smell, speed etc.
We have been sorting these types of words using our IWB app games at literacy time.
During teacher time we have been writing interesting sentences and highlighting the elements that give us information.
Everyone is enjoying growing our literacy skills.
