Letter For Parents/ Guardians
Dear Parent/ Guardian,
(Please use the translate bar above if required)
In September we held meetings with parents to explain how you can support your children at home with their homework. The children have online computer programs such as Accelerated Reader, Mathletics, IXL and Mathseeds to help them with their learning. There are also videos on the school website to help your child’s reading. The children will also have written homework and I encourage parents to check with their children about their homework at the start of the week and to encourage and support the children to complete their homework.
Classes start at 9.15am every morning and it is important that children are in school before this time to be ready to begin their learning.
The Translink buses will be on Strike on Thursday 1st February and there will be no school buses either in the morning or at home time. School will be open as normal but children who normally take the bus will have to find a different way to get to and from school.
A meeting for parents of P7 children who will be transferring to Post Primary school will be held in school on Monday 29th January at 6pm.
There will be a non-uniform day on Friday 26th January and we are asking for a donation of £1 per child for school funds.
Yours Sincerely
Seamus McCreesh
