January has been a busy month in our class, we have been learning all about our new topic Winter Woodland. We have explored what a woodland looks like, the animals that might live there and what they need to survive. We have learned that animals build their own nests and dens and we have used construction blocks to make some buildings. At cookery we made Hiding Hedgehogs using crushed biscuits, condensed milk and chocolate. We have researched the seasons and what winter looks like in different climates around the world, especially the Artic where it is snowy and freezing cold all year around.
