Shared Education in P4

This week in Shared Education, our focus was on the importance of Healthy Eating. We discussed the five different food groups, which include Carbohydrates, Protein, Dairy products, Fruit and vegetables and Fats and sugars. We focused on the importance of eating the right amounts of each food every day. The children worked well as a table to sort a range of food correctly into the food groups. They all had the opportunity to make a healthy fruit skewer for their snack. All the children tried all five fruits that were on offer and they loved them! Some children tried fruit for the first time and really enjoyed it. We are all going to try to make a big effort to include more fruit in our break and lunchtime snacks.
